Jared's Road Trip to San Francisco

Last weekend, my husband Jared helped his brother move from Denver to San Francisco for a PhD program. They put Adam's boxes in his car and took a road trip out West. But they were smart and stayed the night in Wendover, Utah, and again in Lake Tahoe, California. Breaking it up like that makes a road trip way more fun.

Jared nicely sent me a picture of a hill with my initials marked on the side. Such a thoughtful guy.

Here they are at their motel in Wendover. It's on the Utah-Nevada border, so they played the slot machines in a grocery store on the Nevada side.

My brother-in-law has a friend who has access to a cabin in Lake Tahoe, so they met him there and stayed the night. They went in the water that evening. Apparently it was cold.

Here's the view driving into San Francisco. So pretty.

Here's Adam's new digs! So nice!

They walked around a lot that night, grabbed a beer somewhere, went to a bookstore. Ate.

Very San Fran...

Here the sun is setting in San Francisco, and on their little trip too.

Lovely...

And enfin, they met their friends, who'd just finished a gig elsewhere in the city, at Alembic, a bar on Haight Street. Silly kids.

The next day, Jared flew home. We hope Adam loves his program and living in San Francisco!

  1. I love SF. It is one of my favourite cities in the whole of the USA to visit.
